Come Dancing every Tuesday night at the Olympia Eagles Ballroom. Located at 805 E 4th Ave in downtown Olympia WA. No Partner Needed. All ages welcome. There is a quick Beginning Swing Dance Lesson at 7pm, hosted by Christine Corey. Dance Practica following from 7:30-10:30pm. Admission is $5.

Jig Kicks Tuesday April 23rd

Feelin’ Happy? Dance a little Jig Kick. Jig Kicks are fun and easy to transition to from Lindy Hop or East Coast Swing. There are lots of variations and it’s easy to make up your own once you get the hang of it. This class will teach the basics and how to make the transitions from Lindy and East Coast. We will also be teaching simple and stylish Jig Kick variations.
Class meets Tuesday April 23rd from 6-7pm at The Olympia Eagles Ballroom. Please arrive a little early so that you can get checked in before the class starts. The cost is $10 and includes admission to the dance practica following. Form more information email olyswing@gmail.com

Solo Jazz with Cal Tuesday April 30th

Get ready for another round of Solo Jazz Steps with Cal. Solo Jazz movement can greatly improve your partner dancing and “jazz up” the style of your dancing. All levels welcome.
Class meets Tuesday April 30th from 6-7pm at the Olympia Eagles Ballroom

Charleston May 7th-21st

The Charleston was all the rage in the 1920’s and has inspired dancers and musicians ever since. The dance can be done solo or in partnership and both are a blast. In this class we will start with the basics and over the course of 3 weeks we will add moves and variations. You can mix Charleston in with any kind of dancing, (it’s the roots of Hip Hop style dance). No partner needed. All ages welcome.
Class Meets Tuesday nights from 6-7pm
The Olympia Eagles Ballroom
The 3 week series costs $30 or $12 per class
and includes admission to the dance following.

Shim Sham May 28th

This is the Swinin’est line dance ever. The Shim Sham date’s back to the late 1920’s and is still being done all over the world today. We will be teaching Frankie Manning’s version in honor of what would be his 99th Birthday. In this class we break down all the little jazz steps, then we put them together in the order that makes the fabulous Shim Sham.
Class meets from 6-7pm at the Olympia Eagles Ballroom.
$10 at the door includes the dance following.

A Crash Course in Swing June 4th-24th

This is the perfect introduction to Swing Dancing and partner dancing in general. In this class we will start with the East Coast Swing basics and work our way up to more complicated moves and combinations. We will also throw in a little Charleston towards at the end. This is a fun class and a great way to get started. No Partner Needed. All Ages Welcome.
